07:22 am - ART SHOW FRIDAY
You may be asking yourself, "Where the hell has Molly been lately?" Well, I have been busy preparing for an EXCITING art show on Friday (sorry for the short notice)! It will feature collaborative works by myself and the wonderful Luke. There will also be live painting performances, interactive art activities, and live music! It's going to be a blast, so you don't want to miss it (but if you do, the paintings will be on display for another 3 weeks). Here are the details:
Adaptation and Realization: Cooperative Paintings by Luke and Molly

Friday, March 24, 8:00 pm - 1:00 am
(painting performances at 9:00 and 1:00)

Live music - $5 cover

06:12 pm - molly-ollie-oxen-free!
Needless to say, I've been on a bit of an internet hiatus lately. It is not showing signs of stopping! I've been keeping busy painting and cleaning and spending time with friends, and with the wonderful, wonderful Luke. There are a few new pictures up on my flickr account - one of little Mozart on his birthday, and some of paintings that Luke and I did together. Should be updating with some more soon... I listened to like 4 podcasts this weekend, but other than that, I haven't listened to any in about 2 weeks. It's like I'm not obsessed anymore! What is that about?! I don't know, I think I just go through phases where I want nothing to do with my computer. It'll pass, and I'll be back in full force - livejournal entries, guerilla marketing suggestions on my other blog, a new top 8 feature on myspace, countless comments on podcast discussion boards... One of these days! Until then, hope everything is going well for all of you. And happy Valentine's day, too. :)

06:53 pm - I AM A WINNER
I won two tickets to the Omaha Community Playhouse's production of Das Barbecu! I think this makes the 3rd time I have won anything ever in my life. First time, I think I won some goldfish for drinking orange juice out of a baby bottle the fastest. Second time I won a tote bag from the NutraSweet Summer Sweeps (I kinda cheated to win that one... well, it was more like resourcefulness than cheating, actually).
WOO HOO!
In other news, I have been to two shows that I still need to write about on here, and one movie. Probably I will have forgotten everything about the bands... but hopefully not. Soon.

03:09 pm - Go Wolfgang! It's your birthday!
In honor of his 250th birthday, I made a party hat for my Mozart Action Figure. His arms are up in the air all WOO-PARTY style, and there's confetti all around him. I think this officially means that I am a sucker for any excuse to have a party... or to waste time at work making tiny party hats out of office supplies... I really wish I had my digital camera here - you'd have to see it to appreciate the sheer dorkiness of it all!
Speaking of birthdays, a happy one to Diane S. as well!

In the UK, they call that a FAIRY CAKE! I am not even kidding. I read it on the internet, then I confirmed it with Phil. I am probably going to be laughing for the next 48 hours...

I'm going to Evanston, IL this weekend to visit my cousin, Emily. I'm not going to so much as look at a computer the whole time I'm there. No podcasts, no email, no blogs, no forums. Sometimes I just feel like I need a break from being so connected and accessible. It'll be like camping, except I'll be running around Chicago, reinacting scenes from Ferris Beuller's Day Off instead of sitting around a campfire...
Anyway, wish me luck as I'll be flying on Friday the 13th! Have great weekends, everyone.

The first cow named Molly I heard about died from eating too much corn. Sounds like this one is much more intelligent, considering she escaped from a slaughterhouse!

The mental_floss mailing list this week was especially interesting, so I thought I'd post it here behind the cut. It's all about Friday the 13th. Interesting fact: another person born on Friday the 13th was my niece, Celena!

I opened a new gmail account (mollyfromomaha at the gmail to the com) to put on my blog - figured I should use a secondary one in case I get innundated with spam, and so that people won't know my last name (as easily). Anyway, this makes 3 gmail accounts that I access on a somewhat regular basis (my regular one and book club, as well). My question is, is there an easy way to switch back and forth between them? Say, for instance, some option on gmail notifier that makes it so that I can just pick which account I want to be logged into? I could research this, but I figured I'd just post it here and see if I get an answer first. :) Thanks, lovely lj friends!
